Waffle Flower August Release Blog hop

 Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Waffle Flower August Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies!

Next on the hop is JJ Bolton!

This month we have a lot of products for book lovers :) Let me know in the comments your favorite book! Mine is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

My first card I made using Book Cover Die and I turned it into a shaker card. This new die works perfectly with Nesting Stitched Rectangles Dies. I used the biggest die to cut out the gold frame for the Book Cover die cut.

  Another new book is
Layered Books Die. I designed it to create small cute books that can be used for creating card backgrounds or a focal point for the clean and simple cards.

To create this card I cut out a card panel using the biggest die from new
Fancy Frames Die annd a akraft cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and arranged the books around it.

JJ designed a perfect sentient stamp set called
Story Sentiments Stamp Set. I used it with almost all my cards, it's so versitate!

If you like creating little scenes on the cards you will love
Shelves Additions Die. It works with
Shelves Die but I decided to create an encouraging card without shelves.

Now let's take a look at classic books :) The
Classic Books Die set can be used vertically or horizontally on the card.

For this card I created the ink blended card background using
Brick Wall Stencil, distress inks and new
Mini Inkpad Slim Holder. I decorated books with
to create a more realistic look and I placed a small red cup from  . Isn't it cute?

Here is an example for a vertical look card. I embellish books with gold glitter paper and clear drops.

Now let's move to the practical side of our release :) We have two bookmarks die sets that can be used as decorations on the cards or as a tags.

Dotted Bookmarks Die has a little die for creating the bookmark flap, without it you can use the die as a tag or small panel. I decorated my bookmarks with Story Sentiments Stamp Set and a cute cat from

Using
Ornate Bookmark Die I made a simple delicate card with oversized sentinment - Oversized Miss Combo.

Also, I made an alternative bookmark using Tea Cup Die :) I simply attached a twine and little tag to the tea cup die cut.

I own too many pretty cups and I almost run out of space for them, but I don't regret ) One die you will find me under the books and tons of cups ))
My next card is for such a crazy mug lady:) I hot foil the card panel using new
Vintage Vine Foil Plate and Opal color foil.

At last but not least! I want to mention
Star Snowflake Christmas Bundle. It's an exclusive kit designed by JJ Bolton for creating the most amazing winter cards! The bundle consists of dies, stamps and stencils. During the month I'll share more inspiration with it!

On this card I combined ink blending with a gold glitter paste from Nuvo.

Thanks for staying with me until the end :) I hope you found a lot of inspiration!
