Hello everyone!
Welcome to the Waffle Flower April Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies!
Next on the hop is Nichol Spohr!
The first two cards I made with a see-through butterfly openings and hidden messages inside. I used Butterfly Shaker Die and Butterfly Shaker Coloring Stencil.
The Butterfly Shaker Coloring Stencil also can be used with the glimmer paste for the extra shine on the wings!
And I added a couple of vellum wings layers.
This month we have a new size of basic dies - A6 Layers Die. I created two cards with a smaller butterflies, because the negative die cut from Window Trio 2 Die was too pretty to throw away :).
Another fun die in our April collection is Stitching Butterfly Die. This die set includes a coordinating die that cuts the entire butterfly, making it a breeze to create stunning designs.
While I'm not usually one for stitching on cards (it can be time-consuming), this design lets me stitch as many as I desire (even a few stitches only :)). In fact, I was able to add three butterflies to my next card!
I cut out the butterfly 3 times without the coordinating day on light pink cardstock and picked the matching color threads.
And on this card I used the both dies from the Stitching Butterfly Die set, as weelll as one of the dies from Flutter By Trail Die.
For those who crave dimension in their card designs, the Pop-up Butterflies Panel Die is a game-changer. This cute panel die has no cut edge on the sides, and instead cuts out small butterfly wings that can be easily popped up with your fingertips or a thin palette knife.
At first I applied different colors of distress ink on the white A2 card panel, next I cut out a butterfly panel from a black cardstock. I pop up the wings and attached the black panel on a colored base.
Rather than cutting out the butterflies, I simply applied distress inks through the Duo-tone Butterfly Stencil Duo onto a colored cardstock to create my nest card. Also I stamped and cut out the sentiment using For the Ladies Combo.
Should I stop with the butterflies? Just a few more cards! :) Because we have a one more cute stencil that works alone or with the Butterfly Shaker Die. This stencil called - Butterfly & Daisy Stencil.
or with Distress Inks only ->
Or make a fancy dramatic two tone card with a gold accents.
On my next card I simply applied distress ink over the foiled pattern without the coloring stencil. I decoareted the card with a cute flower - Sketched Sweet Pea Bundle and clear bubbles.
Thanks so much for stopping by and looking through this lifetime post :)
