3 ways to use stencil and mask

 Hello friends!

I have a few fun techniques to share with you today. We all love stencils and know how versitate they are, but imagene to combine a stencil with a mask?  I designed a few products for May release from Waffle Flower crafts and of course I made cool stencils and few of them are with coordinating masks.

How I made those cards you can wtch here or on my Youtube chanel

That stencil - Single butterfly consist of two parts: detailed butterfly mask and solid shape butterfly stencil.

Using only outlined butterfly you can create beautiful colorful backgrounds with a white butterfly on it, white if you used a white paper for ink blending. You can use a Distress oxide inks on a dark cardstock to get for a exemple a black butterfly and colorful background. Below I will show you how it looks on a black paper.

Anyway, on my first example I applied purple and pink inks through the mask, then I added other ink colors and stamped a cute sentiment from Sweet Sentiments Stamp set. I put a little crystal heart on the butterfly to match the sentiment.

On my next card I used the mask and the stencil from the Single Butterfly stencil. At first, I applied yellow and orange colors through the stencil, then I put the butterfly mask back inside the stencil and applied red colors through it. I removed the stencil and kept a mask on a piece of paper and applied blue ink around the butterfly.

I heat embossed the sentiment from Happy Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set and foam mount it in the centre of my card.

For my third card I used all parts of the stencil again. But this time I applied bright pink Distress oxide ink on black card panel. Next I applied pink glitter paste through the mask to add details on the butterfly.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Thank You stamp set, cut it out with coordinating die and foam mount on the card.

I hope you like those cards and will try to combine stencils with masks.

Have a great day!
