Hello everyone!
I want to share with you a lot of inspiration with Embellishment Mousse and Nuvo Stone Drops. I prepared four cards for you with different mixed-media backgrounds.
Embellishment Mousse and Nuvo Stone Drops have a variety ways of using. With Stone drops you can create nice dotted embellishments or amazing backgrounds.You can apply Drops through the stencil as well as mousse, or you can add a colorful accents like Koren made here.
In the video below I show how to use those two mediums.
How to make a Black card
- Cut out a black card panel from heavy weight cardstock, size 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
- Apply Blue and purple Stone drops all over the card panel. Mix colors with pallete knife. Try to keep a thin layer of mediums to get semi transparent effect.
- Using palette knife apply pink mousse and let card panel dry or use a heat tool
- Apply light grey mouse through the stencil on the left top and right bottom corners
- Lightly tap with your finger gold nuvo mousse and apply it on texture of the card
- Cut out two butterflies from black glitter cardstock and adhere them on the card, cut the excess paper
- Cut out and a adhere negative sentiment diecut
- Embellish card with glitter drops
How to make a pink card
- Cut out a wite card panel from heavy weight cardstock, size 5 x 3 3\4
- Apply pink, red and purple Stone drops all over the card panel. Mix colors with palette knife
- Using palette knife apply pink mousse. This time add a lot of mousse and drops to get a thick layer.
- Tap with your palette knife over wet mediums to create more texture on the card panel
- Cut out a stripe from vellum and attach it to the card penel
- Cut out two butterflies from pink and black glitter cardstock. Cut them in half and add on the card panel
- Cut out a sentiment from red cardstock and attach it near the butterfly
- Embellish card with crystal drops
How to create a green card
- Cut out a wite card panel from heavy weight cardstock, size 5 x 3 3\4
- Apply light green mousse all over the card panel
- Add few drops of mint Stone drops and mix them with palette knife and let it dry
- Add green and orange ink on edges
- Cut out a leaf in the centre
- Foam mount card panel on a green card base
- Stamp a sentiment with Nuvo black ink inside of the leaf shape window
How to make a gold & blue card
- Cut out a dark blue card panel from heavy weight cardstock, size 5 x 3 3\4
- Apply blue Stone Drops horizontally. Smear medium with your palette knife to make stripes
- In same may apply gold Stone Drops. Let it dry
- Glue the card panel on a black cardbase
- Stamp few envelopes with Nuvo Black ink and color them with grey Nuvo markers and cut out with coordinating die
- Cut out a sentiment and foam mount it on the card panel
- Adhere envelopes around the sentiment
- Embellish the card with black Nuvo Drops
